Indie Wines wants to partner with the best small producers
in California. If you are a winemaker and make a wine that
fits our profile of "big, bold and robust red wines,"
we'd love to consider you for an upcoming wine club shipment.
Because we introduce our wine club members to wines that retail
for substantially more than our wine club price, we need to
ask you to support us by selling us your wonderful wines at
wholesale price or below. In return, we provide you with an
opportunity to market your vineyard on the Indie Wines site
and to sell directly to Indie Wines customers. We will feature
the wineries and winemakers whose wine will be shipping in
the next quarter for the entire three months leading up to
the shipment date. This is a great opportunity to market your
wines to the next generation of wine fans.
For more information about Indie Wines, our membership, site
traffic and the unique value proposition that we offer our
winery partners, please email
us using the link below. We'll be happy to contact you
directly or to send you additional information about our winery
partner program.
Bringing Premium
Red Wine Buyers to You
What does Indie Wines do for small wineries like mine?
In an environment of declining margins for wine makers, Indie Wines offers a new way to reach connoisseurs who are looking
for the next “cult” label and who are willing to pay a premium
price for wines that meet their taste profile. Indie Wines matches
discerning customers who love “big” red wines with small wineries
that don’t have the marketing budget to reach a nationwide
audience.
How much does it cost me to promote my wines to the Indie
Wines customer base?
Nothing!
Considering that most wineries spend 50%-70% of the cost
of a bottle of wine to market and distribute their wines to
every new customer and that those costs can be considerably
higher for small wineries that don’t enjoy the same marketing
scale efficiencies, zero cost customer acquisition probably
sounds attractive! Indie Wines can provide you with top quality
customers at no charge because we’ve already done the customer
acquisition for you by attracting wine connoisseurs who are
looking for boutique wines that they can collect and enjoy
before the industry publications and celebrity critics find
them.
The Indie Wines tasting panels sample wines from small production
wineries (usually less than 5,000 cases) and choose two wines
to send to subscribers every quarter. If your wine is selected,
Indie Wines will purchase enough cases to send one bottle of
your wine to each of our subscribers as a part of their quarterly
tasting series.
Once subscribers have received their tasting series shipments,
we follow up with an interactive email that allows them to
rate the wines and provide their own tasting notes for future
reference. Indie Wines then aggregates the ratings and collects
the tasting notes to prepare a promotional page for your wine
and winery, so that subscribers and visitors to the Indie Wines
site can purchase more of the wines they’ve tasted - we also
use that email to offer them the opportunity to purchase more
of your wine.
Selling your inventory through Indie Wines is simple. Indie Wines
will promote your wines through “Subscriber Email Blasts”
and on-site marketing to our subscriber base of wine connoisseurs.
Orders are processed by Indie Wines (serving as your payment
processor) and you decide whether to fulfill orders yourself
or outsource the fulfillment process to Indie Wines.
Either way, once a customer orders your wine, you receive
the customer information and can thereafter sell any of your
products directly to them without paying a commission to Indie Wines!
